In 2001, Ron Kampff’s desire to provide an equal opportunity for everyone to play, inspired him to bring Challenger Baseball to Webster, New York. Challenger Baseball is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals who are differently-abled physically and intellectually.
The addition of Challenger Baseball highlighted the need for a dedicated field to ensure a safe space for the teams to play. Over the next 20+ years, word spread about Challenger Baseball and in 2014 Don Barone and Ron Kampff decided to bring Miracle Field to the greater Rochester area. Through support with funds from countless donors our dream became a reality. In June of 2015, Challenger Miracle Field of Western New York was recognized as a 501(3)©.
Today, there are more than 400 athletes playing Challenger Baseball throughout the Greater Rochester region.
