On March 30th Undersheriff Sanborn attended a gathering in Webster where individuals were given an update on the progress of the Miracle Field of Greater Rochester.
The Miracle Field of Greater Rochester will benefit children and adults with challenges who love to play sports. The individuals using this facility, that has yet to be built, could include challenged athletes from the Greater Rochester area, Special Olympians, wheelchair athletes, visually impaired athletes, or wounded warriors and veterans. Just recently members of our jail and court security bureaus attended a winter softball tournament to help benefit this cause. The Undersheriff is photographed with Ron Kampff who is leading this effort on behalf of a Challenger baseball league in Webster. The Undersheriff is also photographed with MCSO Communications Officer Brendan O'Riordan, who is a former player from a Challenger Baseball league in Fairport.
The event was also attended by many other Rochester community leaders and non-profits.
Many thanks to Bazil's Restaurant especially to Mary Rose and her exquisite staff who put on a wonderful dinner and went above and beyond to help support the cause for the Miracle Field.
